Tariffs

Transit Goods

For goods in transit the following bonds will apply. Transport goods, as issued by the Kenya Customs & Excise Departement, are for periods of 30 days only. Consequently, the fees applied are strictly for periods of 30 days only. All of our charges i.e agency fee, port charges & transport as per sea/air import tariffs.

Warehouse Goods

For goods cleared to bonded warehouse general tariff of minimum 10,000 BIF will be applicable. Other charges are as per sea/air import tariffs

NOTE: BIF = Bond In Force. The Bond applied is equivalent to the full amount of Duty and VAT payable if the goods were cleared into Kenya.

CIF = Cost Insurance Freight. The total incurred cost of the goods as they and into Kenya.

Handling Charges

A fee of 3% will be applied on all disbursements accompanied with the original receipts. This charge can be avoided by advance payments.

Warehousing Bonds (cb3)

Warehouse bonds are for the transfer of goods into a bonded warehouse. Warehouse bonds are charged at a minimum rate of 10,000. BIF(Bond In Force) and are valid for a period of 21 days only. The client is responsible for returning the necessary endorsed documents to Gallin Holdings Limited in order to release the warehouse bond within this period; failure to do so will result in an additional charge for each ensuing 21 days or part thereof.

Temporary Importation Bonds(Cb10)

Temporary importation bonds are used for goods that will in Kenya for Limited period only e.g camera equipment. Temporary importation bonds are charged at a minimum rate of 10,000 BIF (bonds in force) and are for a period of 12 months only. The client is responsible for re-exporting the goods and returning the endorsed documents at Gallin Holdings in order to release  the Temporary importation bond within this period; failure to do so will result in an additional charge for each ensuing 3 months period or part thereof.

Storage

  1. Storage per mt/cbm per calendars month or prorated Per part interest  = Kshs 150
  2. Handling in/out per mt/cbm = Kshs 225
